Tickets now available for Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend - Returning July 2025

We are thrilled to announce that tickets are now on sale for the much-anticipated return of Tom Dooley: A Wilkes County Legend!

This compelling drama, rooted in the true story of love, betrayal, and tragedy in post-Civil War North Carolina, will once again take the stage at historic Benton Hall in North Wilkesboro this July.

Following a highly successful and well-received 2024 partnership, Tom Dooley will once again be brought to life through a special collaboration between Wilkes Playmakers and Bleu Moon Productions. We are excited to continue building on last year's incredible momentum to deliver an unforgettable experience for our audiences.

📅 Performance Dates:

Evening Shows: July 11–13 & 18–20 at 7:00 PM

Matinees: July 14 & 21 at 3:00 PM

Set in the historic 1913 Benton Hall—the very venue where the play first premiered in 2001—this production marks a full-circle moment for playwright Karen Wheeling Reynolds.

Her script, inspired by local lore and personal family connections to the Elk Creek/Darby community, brings a remarkable authenticity and emotional depth to this enduring Wilkes County story.
